Coinciding with Ed's outfit in Look 17, here is another casual one—not for a sunny Sunday but a cloudy one! It combines pieces from England, France, Japan, and Spain, just a small selection of items we source from artisans from around the world.
The jacket, the iconic 5C from Vetra, is the same model featured in Look 4. It's a masterpiece from French workwear specialists, crafted from a canvas-like fabric that's now lighter, perfect for 15-20-degree days. This versatile piece can be paired with various shades of denim or even replaced by your sports jacket. Try it with charcoal summer wool Berwich retros and a knitted tee for a stylish look.
The knitted polo from Far Afield, a new addition to our brand list, is a testament to our commitment to quality. Created in 2016 by brothers Mark and Chris Scholes, this relatively young brand has been a joy to work with.
The Jacobs polo, available in 4 different colours, including the Peyote Sand featured here, is made from 100% organic cotton. It features a rib and a perforated pattern for a touch of personality, and a two-buttoned placket and an enlarged collar for a vintage feel.
The Edwin loose tapered 10.5oz red selvedge denim jeans are a personal favourite of Ed and mine. This fit, featuring a generous high waist and a fit that's not too slim and not too wide, is being discontinued by Edwin, so it's best to get it soon. The denim, created for spring and summer days, is super soft and lightweight yet surprisingly drapes well. We recommend sizing down, as they can stretch after a few wears.
Shoes are like peanuts—my weakness, and this is my favourite pair I own (these are my own pair, hence the signs of wear). The Uetam, last created by Carmina, is our best-selling shape from them. It suits my feet more than any other and takes little wearing in. The lower vamp teamed up with the full penny strap and snuff suede, is unlike any other shoe out there. I like them with jeans, but I think they suit white trousers the best.
