White Sand Herringbone Flannel BD Shirt is cut from a brushed 100% cotton herringbone flannel — a soft, substantial cloth with enough weight to carry Alessandro Gherardi’s signature oversized button-down collar.

The brushed flannel weight means it wears equally well as a shirt under a knit or jacket, or on its own as a casual overshirt once the temperature allows.

Alessandro Gherardi learned his craft over twenty years at Tiber Camiceria before opening his own atelier in Italy, now run alongside his sons, brother, nephews and nieces. Every shirt is still entirely handmade — cut, sewn, buttonholed and finished by hand — and the house is best known for its own take on the button-down: a deliberately oversized, four-finger collar the brand calls the “XH”, worn open or buttoned down, that sits apart from the standard three-finger collar used almost everywhere else.

A soft, brushed cotton finish — we’d recommend a gentle machine wash or dry clean to keep the herringbone texture looking its best.
