Slate Green Long Sleeve Heavyweight T-Shirt from Sunspel is a relaxed-fit, long sleeve T-shirt cut from the brand's carbon-brushed Supima cotton jersey. It is the long sleeve version of Sunspel's heavyweight T-shirt: a compact, weightier jersey than the brand's other T-shirts, with a soft brushed handle, made to be an everyday long sleeve tee for autumn and winter in a muted, earthy green.

The weight is what sets it apart. A standard long sleeve T-shirt can feel thin or cling once the temperature drops. This compact jersey has more body to it, so it hangs cleanly, holds its shape and works as a proper layer in its own right rather than just an undershirt. The carbon-brushing softens the surface of the cotton for a smoother, more comfortable feel against the skin.

The cotton is 100% Supima, the trademarked name for the finest American-grown Pima cotton, which makes up less than 1% of the world's cotton. Its extra-long staple fibres are nearly twice the length of standard cotton. That gives a stronger, softer yarn that holds its colour and shape through repeated washing, so the slate green stays rich and even rather than fading wash after wash. Sunspel's Supima is fully traceable and sustainably sourced from California.

Slate green is a muted, grey-toned green that works as a neutral but adds more depth than black, grey or navy. It sits naturally with autumn and winter colours. Wear it with denim, ecru or stone trousers, layer it under a navy, brown or charcoal overshirt, cardigan or chore jacket, or pair it with tan suede and brown leather for an easy, tonal look. The relaxed fit leaves room to layer without the sleeves or body feeling tight.

Sunspel has been making clothes in England since 1860, when Thomas Hill founded the company in Nottingham, and it was making some of the world's earliest T-shirts over a century ago. Based in Long Eaton since 1937, the brand is best known for its Classic T-shirt and the Riviera Polo worn by Daniel Craig's James Bond in Casino Royale. This heavyweight long sleeve style is made in Portugal and is part of Sunspel's Pre SS27 collection, "for the winter days ahead."

To keep it looking its best, wash gently at 30°C with similar colours. Do not tumble dry and do not dry clean.
