Olive Green Tommy Cord Shirt is Alessandro Gherardi’s overshirt cut from a 100% cotton corduroy — a heavier, textured cloth built for colder-weather layering rather than a traditional dress shirt.

With its corduroy weight and twin pocket detailing, the Tommy Cord Shirt is designed to be worn open over a tee or knit as a casual jacket, as much as buttoned up as a shirt.

Alessandro Gherardi learned his craft over twenty years at Tiber Camiceria before opening his own atelier in Italy, now run alongside his sons, brother, nephews and nieces. Every shirt is still entirely handmade — cut, sewn, buttonholed and finished by hand — and the house is best known for its own take on the button-down: a deliberately oversized, four-finger collar the brand calls the “XH”, worn open or buttoned down, that sits apart from the standard three-finger collar used almost everywhere else.

As a cotton corduroy, we’d recommend a gentle machine wash to keep the cord’s texture and colour.
